Pinecrest, Fla. – February 23, 2016 – Panter, Panter & Sampedro (PPS) is proud to announce the opening of a new computer lab at Palmetto Middle School as a result of a fundraising drive led by the Firm.

Dubbed the Pinecrest Business Association Computer Lab, the workroom is outfitted with 35 new computers that were purchased with funds donated by various members of the Pinecrest Business Association (PBA) totaling $19,950. PPS led the fundraising drive as not only the first business to sign on as a sponsor, but also as the majority sponsor with the purchase of more than 10 computers.

“In today’s world, technology and education go together more than ever. It’s our duty as a local business to support that,” said Mitchell Panter managing partner of PPS. “After seeing the lab in person, our firm committed to go one step further and will purchase new televisions and additional technology to make sure that these kids have the tools that they need to get the most out of their education.”

“As I was thinking about all the great things that are continuously occurring at Palmetto Middle School, I recalled an old Yoruban proverb that wisely states, ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child.’ Our own village of Pinecrest is a living example of that very proverb,” said Palmetto Middle School principal Jesus Gonzalez during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new computer lab. “Thanks to our parents, community and stakeholders, our students are able to experiences successes that would otherwise not be afforded them.”

PPS has been active in the PBA since it was founded in 2000. Brett Panter co-founded the organization while Mitch Panter is a past president and currently serves as an advisory member of the association’s board of directors. For more information on the firm, please visit panterlaw.com.
