Panter, Panter & Sampedro Win the Battle of the Alamo (Again)

Brothers Brett (Class of '84) and Mitchell (Class of '86) Panter once again emerged victorious in a case against Alamo Rent-a-Car, this time winning a $3.1 million jury verdict in Polk County, Fla.

Panter, Panter & Sampedro's client, the father of two young children, suffered serious brain damage when the driver of an Alamo rental car lost control of the vehicle, crossed a 50-foot median, and crashed into his car.

Brett Panter's previous trial against Alamo Rent-a-Car, resulted in a $7.7 million jury verdict, which was upheld by the Third District Court of Appeal [Alamo Rent-A-Car, Inc. v. Clay, 586 So.2d 394 (Fla. 3d DCA 1991)].
