Reportedly, the young woman who was killed had been traveling on Interstate 4 when a pickup truck hit her vehicle from the rear. The impact of that collision apparently sent her car crashing into another vehicle in front of hers.

Rescue workers who responded to the scene transported the woman to a nearby medical center in Orlando. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries some time later. Fellow students have stated that the victim was a blessing to all who had the privilege of crossing her path in life.

An investigation remains ongoing, and charges are pending in this case. It is often possible to obtain restitution for damages that include emotional pain and suffering, loss of consortium, medical bills, and funeral expenses. The process typically begins with a family member filing a wrongful death claim in a Florida civil court on behalf of the deceased victim.
