A group of people were heading home after a vacation in the Florida keys when tragedy struck and resulted in multiple deaths. Several suffered personal injury in the incident, as well. A formal investigation into the recent crash remains ongoing at this time. Communities in their home state were left grieving the loss of their loved ones.
The fatal collision occurred on a recent Sunday morning as a group of people traveling together headed home from their summer vacation. Their vehicle was in the northbound lane of traffic. A pickup truck, which had apparently just crashed into a guardrail while heading south, flipped over and came to a halt in the northbound lane. Their vehicle then struck the pickup. One of the victims was a 19-year-old young woman who was known by friends and family to be extremely extroverted and fun.
Also killed in the accident was a 52-year-old man whose daughter-in-law said was known for his good sense of humor. A 36-year-old passenger in the pickup truck became another fatal victim in the tragedy. Several were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
When a Florida motorist suffers personal injury at the fault of another driver, he or she is protected by law with the right to file a legal claim in court. In the event that a family suffers the untimely death of a loved one in an accident, family members may file a claim on behalf of a deceased child, spouse or parent. Nothing can remove the pain and sorrow suffered in the unexpected death of a loved one, but it might be of comfort to know that retribution can be sought by seeking compensation for damages in court.
