Lamborghini involved in fatal car accident in Florida

The passenger in a Lamborghini died in a car accident in Florida. The accident tore the sports car apart at about three in the morning. The accident took place on the MacArthur Causeway. Police are still waiting for test results that will show whether alcohol was involved in the accident, though they have said that speed played a role.

According to witnesses, the car was going faster than the speed limit, perhaps getting up to speeds of 100 mph. An SUV came to a stop at a red light in front of the vehicle and then the car plowed into it. It was going fast enough at the time of impact that it continued on for 100 yards before coming to a stop.

The driver of the car was reportedly the brother-in-law of the man who died. Both he and the driver of the SUV are expected to live through their injuries. They have both been taken by emergency crews to Ryder Trauma Center, where they are being treated. Police kept the road closed for a few hours during the night, working on the cleanup from the wreck.

The man who was driving the Lamborghini has already been charged with reckless vehicular homicide.

A wrongful death can occur in a car accident when one of the drivers is responsible for the death of anyone else in the accident. Those who have lost loved ones in accidents like this could have the legal right to seek compensation that would cover things such as medical bills, lost wages, future wages that have also been lost, and non-economic damages.
